Guess the Image helps students practice vocabulary by gradually revealing a picture. Choose lesson items, select a reveal mode, and let students identify the image before all of its sections are uncovered.
Manual mode lets the teacher or students uncover sections of the picture. Automatic mode reveals the picture gradually for a timed guessing challenge.
Young learners can play individually or in teams. In manual mode, either the teacher or a student can uncover the picture one section at a time. Automatic mode is useful for independent play or whenever the class wants a steadily timed reveal.
Students may say an answer aloud before selecting a choice, but this is optional. In a whole-class game, ask learners to raise their hands or take turns so that everyone has an opportunity to think and respond.
Begin with familiar vocabulary when introducing a lesson. Later, use more difficult words or similar-looking pictures to check recognition, recall, and careful observation.
Guess the Image is designed especially for young learners. It can introduce new vocabulary and lesson topics, support speaking practice, or provide a quick review activity.
